This is a temporary/ part time position.

Employment Period: Starting Mid-July 2026 for 3–4 months (with the possibility of extension)
Hourly Rate: $25-26 per hour
Working Arrangement: On-site / Part-time (25–30 hours per week)
Work Hours: The schedule is flexible between Monday to Friday, with the following requirements:
-Must be available to work on Tuesday and Friday (Other days are flexible)
-Must be able to work during core hours: 10:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Japanese English bilingual Accounting Clerk. The ideal candidate will have 2–3 years of accounting support experience and the ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment while supporting daily accounting operations.

Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable (AP)
-Process vendor invoices, verify accuracy, and enter data into the accounting system
-Prepare and execute weekly/monthly payments
-Maintain vendor records and respond to vendor inquiries

Accounts Receivable (AR)
-Generate and issue customer invoices
-Record incoming payments and perform payment reconciliation
-Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on overdue accounts

Invoicing / Billing
-Prepare monthly billing statements
-Ensure accuracy of billing details and contract terms
-Communicate with internal teams and clients regarding billing issues

QuickBooks Accounting
-Enter journal entries and maintain general ledger accuracy
-Assist with month-end and year-end closing
-Generate financial reports (P&L, Balance Sheet, etc.) as needed

Excel & Data Management
-Create and maintain spreadsheets for financial tracking
-Use Excel for reporting and analysis
-Support preparation of financial documents and internal reports

General Accounting Support
-Maintain organized filing systems (digital and physical)
-Assist the accounting manager with administrative and financial tasks
-Communicate with internal and external stakeholders in both English and Japanese

Qualifications:
Required
-Business-level proficiency in English and Japanese (reading, writing, speaking)
-2–3 years of accounting support experience
-Hands-on experience with AP/AR
-Invoicing experience (billing, issuing invoices, payment tracking)
-Proficiency in QuickBooks online
-Strong Excel skills
-High attention to detail and accuracy
-Strong communication and organizational skills
-Strong team player with the ability to collaborate across departments
-Candidate must have authorization to work in the U.S.
-Candidate must be able to commute to the Torrance office
