The Sales Manager is responsible for implementing sales programs and managing the
sales force to maintain the existing customer accounts, achieve business plan targets,
and expand new sales opportunities

Key Responsibilities:
• Build an effective sales organization. Train, educate, mentor and motivate sales staff to achieve planned product volumes and profitability.
• Build and maintain effective long-term relationships and a high-level of satisfaction with key decision-makers at strategic existing and prospective customer accounts.
• Initiate and lead work to identify new business opportunities and improve pricing of existing business in line with the market. Ensure prompt response to all RFQs.
• Coordinate new quote activity at all stages of the process. Review and approve customer quotations prepared by a member of the sales team.
• Respond to a range of customer inquiries (e.g., capacity, RFQs, order status, cost walks, program timing). Ascertain and resolve customer issues, as appropriate.
• Develop, maintain and enhance business relationships with customers and our plants to develop schedules, negotiate price and ensure on-time delivery of parts.
• Find solutions to meet customer delivery schedules, overcoming issues with plant capacity, long product lead-times and incomplete forecasts from customers.
• Review monthly sales results and communicate market conditions and trends to the plants to make necessary adjustments to plant operations.
• Generate and provide regular status reports. Communicate customer requirements while meeting internal NHK needs and expectations.
• Attend and present at monthly finance, development and production meetings.
• Travel to customer facilities for site visits and business negotiations.
• Work with other our businesses to develop mutually beneficial opportunities that maximize company sales and profits.

• Excellent organizational, project management and time management skills.
• Highly-developed interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
• Ability to lead, manage, develop and motivate sales and support staff
• Ability to set priorities, manage multiple projects and meet deadlines

Acquired Knowledge:
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field of study.
• Must Have minimum of 5years of sales, marketing, account management, or similar experience preferably in the automotive supplier industry.
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
