Detail: A Japanese logistics company in Saline, MI, specializing in international freight forwarding, surface transportation, warehousing and 3PL logistics, as well as related incidental services, is seeking Procurement Manager.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Team and staff management
Provide staff training
Member task allocation by reviewing workload
Run daily team meeting for open order review
Report preparation to TTC procurement team and upper management
KPI management and implementing countermeasures to improve on time supplier performance
Promise dates management by setting strategy plan to close gap per projects
Project management by providing part status report per projects and customers
Temporary staff preparation
Arrange supplier visits
Daily Responsibilities:
Daily opening process by importing data from the system
Daily status reporting for all open orders
Communication with supplier for promise dates negotiation
Task prioritization based on critical level of part status and escalation rules
Due date reminder and follow up to suppliers
Coordination with all related party including end users, designer, project lead, purchasing
Scheduling urgent orders by requesting expedite and provide destination info of X orders and imports.
Working with the internal logistics team and reporting delays in a timely manner
Supplier support by account set up for new suppliers and EPNS training
Manual order creation through the system
Run supplier performance report monthly
