General Responsibilities
Maintains financial and business transaction data up to date. Ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately in
the general ledger complying with Company policy, procedures, and generally accepted accounting principles
(GAAP). Prepares and analyzes financial statements and forecasts, identifies trends, and provides insights to
support decision-making. Mentoring junior accounting staff by providing training and guidance.
Essential Job Functions

Accounts Receivable
• Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency and effectiveness in the accounts receivable
process.
• Ensures that established policies, rules and regulations and procedures are followed.
• Reviews work and responsibilities of junior staff assuring that quality work is completed in a timely
manner.
• Investigates and resolves payment exceptions
• Conducts ongoing training of junior staff.
• Performs preparation of reports related to outstanding receivables.
• Investigates and resolves payment exceptions.
• Maintains a good working relationship with all customers.
• Assists in the financial planning with the help of cash forecasting.

General Accounting
• Identifies, analyzes, and prepares journal entries to general ledger accounts.
• Performs and evaluates financial analysis.
• Assists with month-end close, year-end close, and financial audit.
• Performs other accounting tasks on an ad hoc basis.
• Communicates related parties to confirm quarterly netting schedule.
• Provides Accounting services to group companies.

Tax & Compliance
• Identifies, researches, and presents changes in sales and use tax regulation to management.
• Monitors sales and use tax liability and prepares for registration.
• Ensures to file sales/use tax returns including Canadian GST.
• Maintains compliance (e.g. collect tax exemption certificates, track rate changes, etc.)
• Reviews and approves sales tax setup in ERP.
• Prepares information for annual income tax returns (US and Canada).
• Prepares information for annual transfer pricing study.
• Identifies, investigates, and corrects errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents and
reports.

Audit
• Provides internal & external audit support as needed.
• Reviews materials prepared by junior staff.

Fixed Asset
• Monitors a system of controls, procedures, and forms for the recordation of fixed assets.
• Records fixed asset acquisitions and dispositions in EFP.
• Reviews and posts depreciation for all fixed assets in ERP.
• Leads periodic physical counts of fixed assets with related departments.
• Investigates the potential obsolescence of fixed assets.
• Tracks company expenditures for fixed assets.

Other & Miscellaneous
• Contributes to Accounting related APQP tasks.
• Identifies and proposes improvements to internal controls, efficiency improvements, and cost savings.
• Performs special projects and other miscellaneous duties as assigned by manager and other senior management.
• Maintains high ethical standards in the workplace.
• Reports all irregular issues and problems to management for solution.
• Maintains good communication with co-workers & outside contacts.
• Complies with all company policies and procedures.
• Maintains company confidentiality at all times
• Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working area.

Job Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Accounting from four-year college or university; or equivalent of 4 years of
related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of 4 years of Account Receivable experience is preferred.
• Organizational skills including time management, problem solving, organization, decision making,
interpersonal skills, initiative, flexibility, attention to detail, strong leadership qualities and excellent
judgment.
• Ability to meet a constant stream of deadlines
• Highly skilled and proficient at verifying financial or transactional data
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with different levels of employees
• Superior spreadsheet skills and a working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook, D365 is a plus
