JOB TITLE: Tax Senior (Japanese Bilingual)
REPORTS TO: Tax Manager

Location: Torrance, CA (Hybrid)
SUMMARY OF THE FUNCTION: Responsible for assisting with tax compliance and planning services for our clients. Work closely with the Tax Manager and other Senior Accountants to provide high-quality service to our clients.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Prepare and review tax returns (corporate, individual, partnership, etc.) and ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations
• Assist with tax planning and consulting services for clients
• Research tax issues and provide recommendations to the Tax Manager and clients
• Assist with responding to tax authority inquiries and notices
• Assist with managing tax audits
• Review financial data and analyze tax implications
• Prepare tax provisions and tax footnotes in financial statements
• Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting and regulatory requirements, including GAAP and tax regulations
• Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned by the Tax Manager
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
• CPA or EA certification or CPA candidate preferred
• 3+ years of experience in tax compliance and planning
• Bilingual in Japanese and English a plus
• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements
• Experience with tax software (e.g. Lacerte, ProSystem fx Tax) and accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, etc.)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
COMPENSATION:
•$90K to $130K DOE
