Detail: A Japanese Trading Company is seeking a Combination Inspection/quality control specialist and sales personnel
Combination Inspection/quality control specialist and sales personnel
Job duties and responsibilities
• Responsible for inspection of quality, quantity of products being received from manufacturers and outgoing products shipped to Japan
• Follow strict guidelines for repackaging products after inspection to ship to Japan
• Document inspection reports, condition of products and certificate of conformance (C of C) and documents included with products
• Familiar with and obtain export license for products being shipped to Japan
• Familiar with defense trade controls of the US Department of Defense and Department of Commerce.
• Communicate with manufacturers for requirements of packaging and Shipping
• Manage logistics from ordering products, inspection, and shipping to Japan
• Manage logistics, documentation and communicate with manufacturers on RMA’s
• Communicate with customers in Japan of time sensitive deliveries and any obstacles that may have arisen
• Communicate with shipping companies of shipping requirements of products
• Knowledge of purchase orders and invoicing systems
• Communicate with internal office personnel of any problems that may arise that could affect their roles and responsibilities
Sales
• Have ability to navigate database programs and internet to obtain quotes for items from various manufacturers.
• Be proficient in Excel, Word and able to document prices and lead times.
• Turn in forms from quotes to Japan.
• Communicate verbally with manufacturers on details of product by verifying part numbers and National stock numbers.
• Organize emails quotes and documentation of products.
• Some knowledge of manufacturing processes.
• Responsible for other duties that may be necessary if director or president decides
• Japanese language skills- Native level, English language skills- Business level
