POSITION SUMMARY
The LA Branch Manager is responsible for leading and managing all operations of the Los Angeles branch. This role focuses primarily on management and operational leadership, while supporting sales activities through close collaboration with the local sales team. In the future, this position is expected to evolve into a playing manager role, where the Branch Manager will also engage directly in sales activities and business development. The role drives branch sales growth, manages profitability and expenses, and ensures effective scheduling and execution. The Branch Manager works closely with local teams and communicates frequently with the company’s headquarters in Japan. Fluency in both Japanese and English is required.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Duties and Responsibilities
Plan and execute initiatives and activities to increase sales and revenue of the LA branch
Support local sales operations, including coordination with the company’s headquarters in Japan
Serve as a key liaison between the LA branch and Japan headquarters
Oversee and manage day-to-day operations of the LA branch
Develop and implement branch business strategies aligned with corporate goals
Manage branch profitability, including margin control and approval of pricing and cost-related matters
Manage branch expenses, including review and approval of operational expenditures
Oversee scheduling and resource planning to ensure efficient operations and timely execution
Monitor branch performance including sales results, costs, productivity, and profitability
Coordinate with internal departments such as Sales, Engineering, Operations, and Administration
Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate branch employees
Support key customer negotiations and handle escalated customer issues
Represent the company in meetings with customers, vendors, and external partners
Prepare to take on direct sales and business development activities as the role evolves into a playing manager position
Perform other duties as assigned by management
Provide weekly or monthly activity report to Chicago HQ
Attend the meeting which assigned from over management people
Run branch meeting once a week.
Make communication with any other branch people
Proactively monitor and supervise Accounts Receivable (A/R) for LA-assigned customers, taking the initiative to ensure timely collection and appropriate risk control.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent professional experience considered.
5–10 years of experience in branch management, operations, sales, or business management.
Language:
Fluency in both Japanese and English (reading, writing, and speaking)
is required.
