Overview
We are seeking a bilingual professional to support the launch of a new manufacturing facility in Austin, Texas. This role will primarily involve interpretation and communication support between Japanese engineers and local construction teams during the plant startup phase. Following the start-up, the role will continue to provide on-site interpretation support for manufacturing operations. The position may also include executive-level
administrative support.
Responsibilities
Provide onsite interpretation between Japanese engineers and construction/plant personnel.
Support meetings, technical discussions, and daily communication during factory startup.
Assist with documentation, scheduling, and follow-up tasks as needed.
Potentially support executive-level tasks, including light secretarial support for the CEO.
Coordinate smoothly with both Japanese and U.S. teams to ensure efficient communication.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide on-site interpretation during meetings and discussions between our engineers and construction personnel.
• Assist in technical communication, ensuring accurate translation of manufacturing and construction terminology.
• Support coordination and documentation for project-related activities.
• Potentially perform secretarial duties for the CEO, including scheduling and administrative tasks, though support may also extend to interpretation and administrative assistance for other individuals
Required Skills & Qualifications:
• Fluency in Japanese and English, with strong interpretation skills.
• Technical English proficiency, especially in manufacturing and construction terminology.
• Prior experience in factory operations, construction projects, or related technical environments.
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
Compensation & Benefits:
• Salary Range: $55,000 – $70,000 annually (commensurate with experience).
