Detail: Japanese Asset Management company seeks a Japanese Bilingual Assistant Trader (Middle& Back-office operations).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 70% (50% Trading / 20% Portfolio
Management)
- Conduct and support Portfolio Management/Trading under Portfolio
Manager/Trader instruction.
- Run daily operations of the Latin American Advised funds, Leveraged Index funds
and other funds by analyzing cash flows to determine investment decisions and
implementing model portfolio updates.
- Backup trader functions by executing trades for Latin American funds, Leveraged
Index funds and other funds.
- Communicate with Latin American advisors to understand advisor’s investment
philosophy.
- Monitor Latin American Advisor’s model portfolio and analyze performance.
- Communicate with the client to report fund performance and advisor’s activities.
- Prepare and send monthly and semi-annual reports for Latin American funds to the
client.
Other Duties: 30%
- Conduct and support Fund due diligence on existing sub-advisory funds for the
client.
- Analyze new product ideas and suggest new products to the client to help grow
AUM when applicable.
- Provide research on US asset management industry and investment products update.
- Communicate with the relevant US companies and provide updates on them to the
client when applicable.
- Review trade confirmation on a daily basis.
- Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the President.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree required.
• Proactive, self-motivated individual with excellent work ethic.
• Trading and Operation experience preferred.
• Strong MS Office skills, VBA a plus
• Series 3 and CFA preferred.
• Business or native level English and Japanese language preferred. (Candidates must be able to read and write in Japanese at a business level.)
• A minimum of 2–3 years of experience in middle and back office operations within the finance trading industry is required.
