A leading Japanese supplier in the factory automation and tooling industry is seeking a Sales Representative to support its North American business expansion. The company provides advanced FA systems and tooling solutions to leading manufacturers, with a strong focus on innovation, quality, and customer satisfaction.
Your Role with the Company
Lead new business development sales activities for FA systems (Factory Automation).
Target mainly Japanese-affiliated companies due to product compatibility requirements.
Conduct market research, identify prospective clients, and build long-term customer relationships.
Manage ongoing communication with existing customers, responding to inquiries and providing solutions.
Attend trade shows, industry events, and conduct frequent client visits.
Expect 60% or more travel across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.
Report directly to an expatriate manager (Japanese-speaking only).
Preferred Experience & Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field preferred.
3–5 years of sales experience
Prior experience in the factory automation, tooling, or manufacturing industries strongly preferred.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Stable work history with few job changes preferred.
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Language Requirements
English: required (must be able to communicate with customers and internal teams).
Japanese: preferred (daily conversational level for communication with manager; reading/writing not required).
Spanish: a plus (for broader customer communication).
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary: $80-90,000+ annually (depending on experience).
Currently no incentive plan; may be introduced in the future.
