POSITION OVERVIEW/JOB PURPOSE
Ensures systems and skills are in place to maintain mechanical health of operational and ancillary equipment.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
• Responsible for the overall maintenance of the machines including Zuiko, Optima, Palletizer, Ibis and Osprey. Repair or refurbish the mechanical parts as needed.
• Responsible for overall health of production lines and ancillary equipment. Tracks, develops and leads all mechanical maintenance work, conferring w shift leaders to identify potential problems and works through resolution. Focuses on daily technical problems to drive to resolution.
• Develops and maintains preventive maintenance system. Records repairs and maintenance performed. Performs mechanical rebuilds as required. Cleans machines and machine parts using solvent cleaning solutions.
• Organizes and maintains lubricants required for production and ancillary equipment. Ensures all required materials and parts are prepared and organized. Orders or requisitions spare parts and materials. Ensures store room systems are maintained.
• Leads and organizes change-over. Updates system procedures to drive continued improvement in process reliability and change-over systems.
LIST MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS TO DO THE JOB BELOW
EDUCATION:
Minimum of High School Education or equivalent GED.
EXPERIENCE:
Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful performance would be qualifying. Typical qualifications would be the equivalent of 3 to 4 years experience in associated field.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Demonstrates training ability by developing mechanical skills in others. Acts as team resource for using specialty tools. Reads blueprints, machining skills, hydraulics and pneumatics. Programmable logic controllers. Basic computer skills. Basic hand tools, rebuild, assembly, etc.
