Position Overview
The Inside Sales Representative is primarily responsible for sales support activities within assigned territory accounts, utilizing the company’s ERP system to generate / prepare quotes, and process orders. Key responsibilities include understanding customer needs, building relationships, and providing solutions that drive customer satisfaction and loyalty. The role also involves providing daily customer service, entering data, resolving shipping issues of the orders, and maintaining effective communication with customers and internal departments.
Essential Job Functions:
Primary responsibility includes:
• Identify and assess customers' needs for MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) product parts and services to grow sales.
• Source and procure requested parts based on customer specifications.
• Liaise with vendors to fulfill customer requirements by confirming pricing, export details, part specifications, and lead times.
• Prepare and generate accurate price quotes.
• Review customer purchase records and company information, adjusting pricing, lead times, or other conditions as necessary.
• Process customer Purchase Orders (POs) by carefully reviewing all details and coordinating with relevant departments as needed.
• Address and resolve customer issues promptly, including mis-shipments, lost parts, defects, damage, or other complaints.
• Work collaboratively with your Sales colleagues to analyze and resolve complicated problems relative to POs / SOs or projects for any account within your area. Work effectively with internal departments to resolve other problems such as shipping and accounting issues.
• Handle ETA requests by following up with vendors and the logistics team for overdue shipments, and provide customers with order status updates, tracking numbers, and estimated lead times.
• Monitor and respond to emails in a timely manner, follow up when needed.
• Follow up on past-due invoices and resolve any invoicing issues.
• Track and update PO status as needed.
• Maintain accurate customer records and database information.
• Provide reports to management as required.
• Other duties as assigned by Management.
