General Position Summary
Responsible for the purchasing activities of O.E.M. products. The duties include performing purchasing activities, issuing purchase orders, communicating with vendors, and supporting sales/engineering/production/quality. Must maintain good relationship with vendors.

Essential Job Functions
PURCHASING 60%
• Prepare purchase orders.
• Prepare RFQ, solicit bid proposal and review requisition for goods.
• Research and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, selection, service, support, availability, reliability,
• production and distribution capabilities, and the supplier’s repetition and history with a help of supervisor.
• Analyze price proposals, financial reports, and other data and information to determine reasonable prices with a
• help of supervisor.
• Monitor and follow applicable laws and regulations.
• Negotiate or renegotiate and administer contracts with suppliers, venders and other representatives with a help
• of supervisor.
• Monitor shipments to ensure that goods come in on time, and in the event of problems trace shipments and follow up undelivered goods.
• Support supplier assessment and quality audit.
• Attend meetings, trade shows, and conferences to keep abreast of industry trends and network with suppliers.
SALES/ENGINEERING/PRODUCTION/QUALITY/ACCOUNTING SUPPORT 30%
• Communicates with production control for delivery schedule.
• Conveys Mikuni requirements of each department to vendors.
• Supports and communicates with supplier quality control to retrieve documents required from vendors.
• Coordinates between vendors and production control/quality control/accounting when there are non-conforming
• goods.
OTHER & MISCELLANEOUS 10%
• Seeks constant improvement, more efficient and less expensive ways and means in work processes.
• Performs special projects and other miscellaneous duties as assigned by supervisors
• Maintains high ethical standards in the work place.
• Reports all irregular issues and problems to supervisors for solution.
• Maintains good communication with supervisors, office staff members and outside contacts.
• Complies with all company policies and procedures.
• Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working area.

Qualifications
Education & Work Experience
• Bachelor’s Degree from four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• General office equipment including phones, fax, copier, personal computer, scanner, etc.
• Simple measurement tools including, calipers, micrometers, drop gage, etc.
• Software includes the use of Windows operating system and MS Office including familiarity with enterprise resource planning system and related modules.
