A Japanese toll road operator’s subsidiary seeks a Sales Representative in Houston.
The business provides Pavement Condition Assessment Service powered by Artificial Intelligence (AI). The main
customers are city public works in Texas and Oklahoma.
Summary:
This position is responsible for sales KPI in the Houston area, handling sales and marketing tasks under the
management of the head office. Some operation and administration tasks related to sales are also required. Training
will be provided at the Head office in Dallas, TX, for the first several months. The relocation will be decided based on
the performance during the training. Reporting to the head office is necessary daily.
Primary Job Function:
1) Sales and Marketing
- Lead management:
▪ Make appointments with cities by email and phone calls
▪ Visit cities and provide presentations to explain the product and offer pilot projects
▪ Correspond with cities on questions, quotations, contracts, and any other items necessary to
close the sales
▪ Maintain the lead list and contact record
- Customer care:
▪ Correspond with customers promptly as the company’s primary contact
▪ Deliver the pavement assessment results and invoices to the customers
▪ Follow up to make sure customers are satisfied with the service
▪ Notify customers of the end of the service period, invoice dues, and any other items necessary in
customer communication
* All external emails must be CC to the Head Office
2) Operation
- Data Collection for pilot projects:
▪ Drive designated streets with a car to collect pavement data
* Smartphone-based tools will be provided. A special technique or vehicle is NOT required.
3) Administration
- Quotations and contracts
▪ Draft and get approval from upper management on quotations and contracts to be sent to
customers.
4) Others
- Daily tasks
▪ Any other administrative tasks related to the position’s responsibility, such as attendance reports,
document organization, and reporting to the management, are required.
Qualifications/Requirements:
• Work authorization (No VISA support provided)
• Excellent communication skills
• High sense of ethics and a formal attitude
• Flexibility and willingness to learn
• Computer skills: MS Office
• Texas driver’s license and a good record
Work Experience:
Previous experience in sales or other business is preferred but NOT required. However, flexibility and a strong will to
learn are needed.
