Summary:
As an Outside Sales Representative, you are responsible for several critical functions within our organization. The essential functions of your job are listed below. These are duties you must be able to perform. This is a full-time position and is classified as exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). As an exempt employee, you will be expected to manage your work hours to successfully complete all assignments.

Essential Job Functions
The Outside Sales Representative is a key player within this organization. The person in this role should be a motivated self-starter with the ability to manage key accounts for the purpose of maintaining and increasing both sales and gross profit. This person will be responsible for promoting the company and key manufacturers and suppliers the company aligns with from a strategic standpoint.
The primary responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Identifying, building, and managing key customer accounts
• Promoting products for manufacturers and suppliers that are important to the organization
• Following up quickly, clearly, and in a thorough manner with customers via email, phone, fax, and in-person (as dictated by the situation)
• Analyzing customer trends, identifying upcoming business opportunities, and making recommendations to customers and management for ways to increase sales and GP
• Reporting sales activity on a regular basis
• Communicating and acting in a “team” environment with other employees
• Working closely with management to identify new areas for improvement and growth
• Communicate well with Inside Sales to cooperate and work as a team.
• Liaise with customers and suppliers for business expansion and business execution for gauge. (Quotation, delivery management, delivery, etc.)
• Other tasks assigned by management

Travel Requirements
• This position requires the ability to travel, primarily day travel, but some overnight travel will be required.
• Primary territory will be Kentucky and Ohio.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Fluent in Japanese and English (speaking, writing and reading)
• Excellent communication, time management, and computer skills
• Customer relations skills
• Must have a valid driver’s license

Education and Experience
• 2 years+ experience in B to B sales
• Bachelor’s degree preferred

Physical Requirements
Must be able to drive a vehicle. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to see, type, stand, sit, walk, talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
